Sevan Lake

High in the mountains lies Sevan Lake, the largest lake in the Caucasus. The lake is located at an elevation of 1900 metres above sea level, only 66 km from Armenian capital. Low populated area with azure colour of the water brings you into the magical natural world. Sevan Lake is a popular holiday destination for it's camping sites and public beaches which are clean and safe and include free parking, playgrounds and medical aid stations. Thanks to the cooler weather Sevan is also a great place to escape the heat of lower Armenia.

Yerevan to Sevan by public transport

You need to get to Northern Bus Station where all the services for city of Sevan depart from. The length of the journey is about 40 minutes. One way ticket costs 500 AMD. Pay to a driver before you leave the bus. Please, have small change ready in order to make cash handling easier. If you travel to Sevan Lake you can ask the minibus driver to bring you to your desired place. If the drivers is not in tight schedule he will do so for small extra money, otherwise you need to take a taxi from Sevan bus stop to the lake (it costs up to 1000 AMD).
