At the stop

  • Before each journey use online Journey planner application.
  • Get to the bus/train stop before the scheduled departure time.
  • It you are waiting at a bus stop, don’t stay on the road or attempt to approach the bus until it has stopped.
  • Stand back from the kerb as the bus pulls in.
  • Be sure that the bus driver can see you and you can see the driver.
  • Never smoke cigarettes at the bus stop.

Boarding the bus

  • Please queue up for and board the bus. People who come earlier at the bus stop have right to board on bus first.
  • Allow passengers to alight before boarding the bus. Stand aside and don't block their way out.
  • Watch your step, and use the handrail.
  • If you have to buy the ticket on the bus, make sure to have cash ready.
  • If you need help boarding the bus, ask some of the other passengers for help.

When on the bus

  • After boarding do not block driver's view and move into the bus compartment.
  • Do not speak to or distract the driver while the bus is moving.
  • If you see someone who is elderly, pregnant, mobility impaired or disabled, offer them your seat and help them get on and off the bus.
  • Hold handrail if you are standing.
  • Do not place bags on seats, place bags on your lap or if standing on the floor between your feet.
  • Do not block the doorways and provide other passengers with enough space to move if they are getting off the bus/train.
  • If you are traveling with children, make them busy, so that they do not disturb the other passengers unnecessarily.
  • If you feel like something is not safe change your seat or wait for a stop that is busy and get off there. Don't get off at a stop that no one is at.

Always respect others

  • Turn off the sound of your mobile device.
  • Use headphones when you are listening to music, watching video or making call.
  • Do not smoke cigarettes.
  • Do not eat fish or any other food with strong smell.
  • Respect privacy of the other passengers.

Getting off at your stop

  • Give sign to a driver in time to allow the driver to stop the bus safely and smoothly.
  • After you get off the bus, never attempt to cross the road in front of or behind the bus. Wait at the stop until the bus is gone, before crossing the road.

Protect yourself

We know that in reality you don't always have a perfect experience. Become a good example for other passengers.
